Day Fourteen

Campinganlage Stahlhutte to Home

We were really sad to be heading home. The whole trip had totally exceeded expectations. Driving in Europe was so easy. As soon as we had negotiated our first roundabout in France after stepping off the ferry, it became second nature. If anything the most unnatural feeling was the day after we returned home and Shaun went to work in the car, it felt very unusual driving on the left again.

We sailed back with DFDS from Dunkirk to Dover. We hadn't booked a ferry but it was so easy to pay for a crossing on arrival and we only had about a 30minute wait before we were boarding. The crossing was super calm and visibility was fantastic so we spent most of the crossing stood outside watching the many different ships criss cross each other through some of the busiest waters in the world.

We can't wait to return to Europe but one thing is for sure... we won't be going again without Bentley.
